This qualification is aimed at those who wish to develop their knowledge and understanding of environmental sustainability awareness. The objective of this qualification is to give learners opportunities for personal growth, improve their engagement about sustainability and prepare learners to progress to a qualification in the same or similar subject area.

To complete this qualification learners should expect to undertake 8 hours of learning, typically over one day.

• Know how individuals can be environmentally sustainable in their everyday life 
• Understand the relationship between waste, the industrial sector and sustainability.

Assessment method

This qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice examination, consisting of 25 questions that must be completed within 45 minutes. The pass mark is 18.
